It’s been a while since I posted. Been a busy start to the year and things have been moving along so quick I can’t believe it is March now. The kids are doing well at school, my wife is working hard on weekends leaving me to referee the kids fights, and I try to savour my weekends as I have not yet won lotto and still work what is essentially a nine to five.
What triggered my blog tonight? Well as I was coming back into my street after going to get some fish and chips, I pulled round the corner and there was a young boy on the road. He moved off to the side of the road as we got closer, but stood on the curb and held his hands out in front of him as to say, “What do you think you are doing driving down the middle of MY road”. This little fella is only about 4 and quite cute, but clearly thinks he owns the street, and let me know about it. I am still not sure how to respond to this kind of gesture….
Then as we sat eating our dinner inside, I heard some noises and laughing in our carport (we often leave the door up). As I poked my head out, again, the little fella was in my carport playing around with his sister and another friend and looked at me peeking out of my door as if to say, “What do you want? This is MY carport!”. I closed the door and sat down at the table and continued to eat my dinner and once again pondering howto deal with this?
In reality I don’t mind and am quite happy that the kids in our street do get out and play like this. I just find it quite funny the way this young guy operates and though I would share it with you.
